SG is a corrugated metal core with a high purity inhibited grade flexible graphite cover made using traditional manufacturing procedures. An SG gasket is an excellent choice for low available load applications or where flange surfaces are less than perfect. This design allows for thermal cycling and radial expansion in large diameter fixed equipment and provides a greater degree of reliability than most jacketed, solid metal or spirals.
